Gemopai is a joint venture between Goreen E-Mobility and Opai Electric. It manufactures Gemopai Astrid Lite Electric Scooter. Opai is one of the largest electric vehicle manufacturers in the world.

Goreen E-Mobility is a Greater Noida-based electric mobility company. It was founded in 2016. Opai is a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer. Goreen E-Mobility and Opai have signed MOU for the joint venture. There will be technology transfer and cooperation between the two companies for developing electric two-wheelers for the Indian market.

• Its battery pack capacity is 1.7 kWh. In our view, it is slightly on the lower side. Probably the manufacturer has given a lower capacity battery to reduce the cost of the scooter.
• The charging time of the battery is around 4 hours
• The Maximum claimed range of Astrid Lite is 90 Km on a fully charged battery. But in actual city driving conditions and with a pillion rider the scooter will give lower mileage.
• The electric motor also is slightly underpowered at 2.4 kW. This also may have been done to keep the scooter price from rising.
• The scooter looks stylish and comes in attractive color options
• The LED headlamp with DRL looks good. The tail lamps are also stylish.
• The body of the Gemopai Astrid Electric Scooter is made of strong fiber plastic material. The same is the case with most other electric scooters.
• The floorboard is just large enough
• A hook has been provided for small bags etc
