Benling is a Chinese company that manufactures electric two-wheelers. Benling India Energy & Technology Pvt Ltd is the full name of the company. It assembles electric scooters in India. Benling Aura electric scooter was launched in January 2020. It is the premier product of the company. Benling Aura electric scooter is supposed to give competition to Bajaj Chetak Electric and Ather 450X bike.

Benling Aura design and styling are inspired by old Vespa Italian scooters.

Benling Aura electric scooter can be powered in two modes. These are Key Mode and Keyless Mode.
In Keyless Mode you can lock the scooter by long press of the key. Now if someone tries to steal the scooter an alarm will sound.
Four modes of running are Low, Eco, Sports, and Turbo. Turbo mode is used only when quick overtaking is required. There is a Parking mode also.
The modes have been given numbers like Parking, 1, 2, 3, and 4. You need to press a button to change the mode. The maximum speed of 60 Km per hour is achieved in number 4 mode.
If the scooter is kept on idle for few seconds, it will automatically go to Park Mode. In this case, you will have to press the button to change the driving mode.
The company offers Breakdown Smart Assistance System (BSAS), which restarts the scooter and continue to run despite any breakdown in the system. This is the claim of the company.
If the side stand is ON the scooter will not move forward. It is a good safety feature
You can locate your scooter by pressing the Remote button. The scooter emits a beep sound.

Storage space is not much. The mobile charging port is in the storage space.
The battery pack occupies all the space under the seat. So there is no boot space under the seat.
The Self Repair Button is a good feature. If there is any hardware or software problem with the scooter you can press the Self Repair Button for emergency travel. You can now travel up to 20 km at the speed of 15 to 20 Km per hour.
Pick Up of the scooter is quite good. So you need to be careful while accelerating. Give it a steady acceleration. It does not have a delayed acceleration feature.
With a single person riding the scooter, you can achieve a speed of 65 Km per hour.
With two people riding the scooter the speed reduces to 60 Km per hour
Locking the scooter in Key Less Mode is a good feature. It gives an alarm sound if someone tries to steal your scooter.
