Kona Electric is Hyundai’s first electric car in India. Hyundai has advertised it as India’s first electric SUV. However Hyundai Kona Electric looks more like a raised hatchback than an SUV. It was launched in India in July 2019 and has received a good response.
Globally car battery of Hyundai Kona Electric comes in two variants – 39 kWh and 64 kWh. The car which has been marketed in India has 39 kWh battery pack. The car has a sealed battery pack with an IP67 rating. So the battery is waterproof and dustproof.

Our Review of Hyundai Kona Electric
Hyundai Kona Electric is a good electric car packed with useful features. However, in our opinion, its battery pack is its weak point. The manufacturer should have provided a 64 kWh battery pack. The current battery pack is 39.2 kWh capacity.
