Mahindra eKUV100 has a 40 KW electric motor. It delivers 53 BHP of peak power. Torque developed is 120 NM. It takes 6 hours for full charging. It has a fast-charging option also. eKUV100 range is 150 kilometers on a fully charged battery. The range is relatively low because this is a small car.

Mahindra eKUV is equipped with a liquid-cooled 15.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The battery can be charged up to 80% in just 55 minutes via the fast-charger port.

Mahindra eKUV100 does not have a grill on the front top of the body. There is a grill just above the bumper which helps in cooling the battery and electric motor of the car.

Its front headlight and fog lamp has the same design as petrol Mahindra KUV100. This electric car has two charging ports. One charging port is on the left of the car, above the left tyre. It is for fast charging of the car battery. The second charging port is on the right side, for regular charging of the battery.

Rear tail lamps also are similar to petrol Mahindra KUV 100. Each set of the tail lamp has one LED lamp and one halogen lamp. There are three parking sensors in the rear. Presently there is no reverse parking camera. Maybe it will be fitted later.

Inside the car, the leg space in the rear is just sufficient. There is a foldable armrest between the rear seats. Seats have adjustable headrests.

The gear system of Mahindra eKUV100 is automatic. It has Reverse, Neutral, and Drive settings. There is a manual parking brake lever as this car does not have an electronic parking brake.

The car has 12 Volts charging facility. The air conditioning system can be manually controlled. Steering mounted controls have been provided. Tyre size is 15 inches.

Mahindra eKUV100 also comes well equipped with features. The vehicle will have new connectivity features, remote diagnostics, cabin pre-cooling, and real-time location tracking.

The Mahindra eKUV100 is a solid electric car with lots of useful features. However, we find its battery pack to be its weak point. The battery pack should have had a capacity of 64 kWh. The current battery pack has a capacity of 15.9 kWh.

According to the company, the range is 147 kilometers, which is not very good. Due to the lack of charging infrastructure on the nation’s roads, this can be a problem. Even though India is developing, it will take some time for it to reach every corner of the country.
