Husqvarna Vectorr Electric Scooter
The Pierer Mobility Group is Europe’s leading manufacturer of powered 2 wheelers. Its motorcycle brands are very popular in Europe. These premium brands are Husqvarna Motorcycles, KTM and Gasgas.
The Pierer Mobility Group also makes e-bikes like Husqvarna E-Bicycles, R Raymon, and GASGAS E-Bicycles. They are pioneers in making two-wheelers in low voltage range (48 Volts).
KTM is Europe’s leading high-performance Street and Off-Road racing motorcycle. Husqvarna motorcycles are known for their unique and distinctive designs. It has set the benchmark for quality, aesthetics, and high performance.
The Pierer Mobility Group has now partnered with Bajaj to produce electric scooters in India.
Husqvarna Vectorr Specifications
Bajaj and The Pierer Mobility Group have revealed their concept of electric scooters. It has been named Vectorr. This electric scooter is for urban commuters. The Vectorr electric scooter is a compact, stylish and effective two-wheeler for city use. It brings the future model into the present.
- The Vectorr electric scooter is based on Bajaj Chetak electric. It will share the same underpinnings.
- This concept scooter delivers a top speed of 45 Km per hour.
- Its range is 95 Km on a fully charged battery
- This concept scooter will be powered by 4 KW motor. The same motor is used on Bajaj Chetak electric scooter also. Therefore it is expected that Vectorr will have the same speed and range as Bajaj Chetak
- This 4 kW electric motor will be slightly less powerful than that of Ather 450X.
- To start with the battery may be a fixed battery. But in later models, there will be a swappable battery. This will allow scooter owners to benefit from the widespread swap stations planned to be set up.
- The electric scooter is likely to be launched in 2022
- The company also plans to launch E Pile electric motorcycle in India in 2022.
- It will have a round LED headlamp which is found on Svartpilen and Vitpilen European motorcycles
- The design is simple but attractive. It will have a beak-like tail section.
- The white and black color combination of the body is attractive. It has a lick of bright yellow which is neatly executed.
- The Vectorr electric scooter may get the same trailing link front suspension and mono-shock rear suspension.
- The chunky side panels follow the theme we’ve seen on the recent Vitpilen and Svartpilen 250 electric bikes.
- It has two-tone body paint with the brand’s signature in fluorescent green stripes on various elements.
- The split seats of Vectorr will also be a unique element on a scooter in India. Till now no electric scooter has split seats.

When will Husqvarna Vectorr be available in India?
The scooter will be manufactured at Bajaj’s Chakan factory in Pune. Bajaj is expected to start the production of Vektorr electric scooter in 2022. Bajaj and Pierer Mobility have already entered into an agreement. Bajaj also holds a stake in Pierer Mobility which is part of the KTM group. Together they recently plan to become the world leader in the 4 to 11 kW electric two-wheeler space. All the models using this platform are expected to be manufactured by Bajaj at the Chakan plant.
The initial plan was to offer a 10 kW motor in this model. But finally, Bajaj may go with a 4KW motor. This will make the price competitive with other electric scooters in the Indian market. A 4 KW motor is sufficient to meet the needs of an urban commuter.
