Odysse Electric Vehicles Pvt Ltd is a Gujarat-based company. Odysse is part of Vora Group of Companies. They have now entered electric vehicle space. They have a joint venture with Lovato of Italy. Lovato Electric is a big name in energy and automation. Odysse Electric Vehicles Pvt Ltd entered EV space in 2017. The company started by manufacturing e rickshaws and e carts. Later they entered the two-wheeler segment also.
Odysse has manufactured and marketed a number of electric scooters and electric bikes. They do lots of research before launching a product. Odysse procures components from various overseas sources, including China. Only about 50% of components are sourced from India. Currently, the number of electric scooters manufactured by Odysse is not very high. Currently, the company has dealerships in Gujarat and Maharashtra only. It plans to expand the dealership into more cities.
Odysse Hawk Plus has a lithium-ion battery of 2.80 kW capacity. Its maximum range on a fully charged battery is 170 Km. The top speed is 45 Km per hour. This electric scooter can accelerate from 0 to 45 Km per hour in just 4.2 seconds. The scooter has a motor of 1.8 kW nominal power. This electric scooter gives a smooth and pollution-free drive.
Hawk is being offered in 2 variants. These are Hawk Plus and Hawk Lite. Their battery capacities are different. Hence there is a difference in price also. Advance booking can be done by paying Rs 2000 only.

The Hawk Plus mileage is 170 Km on a fully charged battery. The battery capacity of Hawk Plus is 2.8 kW. The mileage of Odysse Hawk Lite is 85 Km. Its battery capacity is 1.44 kW only. Hence it gives lower mileage.

Odysse Hawk Plus Review by EV Funda Team
- Hawk Plus comes with a lithium-ion battery. The capacity of the battery is 2.8 kW. This is a good capacity.
- The battery is portable. So you can take it out and charge it inside your home or office.
- A Charging Port has also been provided. So you can charge the battery without removing it from the scooter.
- The range of Hawk Plus, under ideal conditions, is 170 Km. Even under city driving conditions, with a pillion rider, the range will be around 130 Km. This is a very good range.
- Hawk Plus electric scooter has a Cruise Control mode. In cruise control mode you don’t have to use the throttle. This is not found on all electric scooters. So it is a big plus point. If you drive the scooter at a certain speed for about 15 seconds, the controller automatically sets that speed as cruise speed.
- Other driving modes are Mode 1 and Mode 2. The modes can be selected by a switch near the right-hand grip. In Mode 1 you can reach a speed of 40 Km per hour. It is the most economical mode and gives maximum range.
- The scooter can be started with its key. It can also be started without using the key. Remote locking and keyless starting features are available.
- The electric motor is 1.8 kW. This is slightly lower than expected. A motor of at least 2 kW should have been provided. Yet, 1.8 kW motor is OK.
- Charging time of 4 hours is a fair charging time. Charging consumes just about 4 units of electricity. So Hawk Plus is a very economical electric scooter. Running cost is just about Rs 0.20 per kilometer.
- There is sufficient boot space under the seat for your helmet.
- The brake lever is adjustable. This is a very convenient feature.
- A USB charging port has been provided. So you can charge your mobile while driving the scooter.
- Bluetooth connectivity, FM radio, and speakers have been provided for listening to music. Volume control is also available. You can select tracks, volume, etc.
- Tyre size is 12 inches. Not many electric scooters have this large size of tyres.
- The headlamps have an attractive design. Headlamps have DRLs.
- The seat is comfortable. It has a backrest and a grab handle for the pillion rider.
- A hook has been provided under the handle, to hang your bag.
- The accelerator grip has a metallic look.
