Bird Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd is entering into electric vehicle space. It is a fully owned subsidiary of Bird Group. It will introduce electric scooters and low-speed electric bikes in India.
Bird Electric Mobility will collaborate with California-based electric vehicle giant Bird Rides Inc and will introduce an ergonomically designed electric scooter named Bird ES1.
Bird Electric Mobility is also collaborating with Chinese automobile manufacturer Haima for manufacturing electric cars.
Bird Electric Mobility will manufacture or assemble the electric scooters in its plant in Manesar, Haryana. Bird ES1 will be a premium category electric scooter. However, it will be competitive. The company is exploring the best business model to bring the best in class technology.
Bird ES1 electric scooter price
ES1+ electric scooter price will be Rs 50, 000. It is the ex-showroom price in Delhi. The on-road price of Bird ES1 may be around Rs 60, 000. It will be one of the cheapest electric scooters in India. Bird Electric Mobility has signed an MOU with Australian e-mobility firm VMoto, which has exclusive sales and marketing rights for VMoto and SuperSoco products across the globe, excluding China.
