Prana electric bikes are manufactured by SV Motors (SVM). It is a Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu-based company. The concept of the Prana electric bike commenced in 2014. Prototype testing started in 2018. The electric bike got thumbs up in 2019. The company has already delivered few units to its customers. Prana electric bikes are known as middle-weight street fighters.
The primary goal of SVM is to produce the best electric automobiles, which use renewable energy and not a fossil fuel. The company has collaborated with top-class engineers to produce Prana electric bikes. Prana Grand looks very stylish, sporty, and muscular.
Prana Grand Electric Bike Price
SV Motors is offering a discount of Rs 25000 on Prana electric bikes if you have SVMCSR Green credit. To get this green credit discount, you have to plant ten saplings in different places and have to send the proof to SVM. Financing plans are available to buy Prana by paying an EMI of Rs 5200 per month.
There are three variants of SVM Prana. These are Classic, Grand, and Elite. Following is the price of each variant:-

Prana Grand Electric Bike Range
There are two types of batteries in Prana electric bikes. One battery is 4.32 kW and the other is 7.2 kW. With a 4.32 kW battery, the range is 123 Km. With 7.2 kW battery mileage of the Prana motorcycle is 225 Km.

Prana Grand Electric Bike Features
- The frame of Prana Grand – It has a double-cradle tube frame made of steel
- The handlebar is somewhat flat and wide.
- The seating position is comfortable. It keeps the driver upright.
- It has foot pegs on both sides.
- The front brake lever is on the right and the rear brake lever on the left of the handlebar.
- Electric Motor – Prana Grand has a 5.30 kW BLDC electric motor. The manufacturer has not disclosed whether the motor is of Chinese origin or not. So it is assumed that it is Chinese
- Drive Modes – There are 4 riding modes. These are Reverse Mode, Practice Mode, Drive Mode, and Sports Mode.
- In Reverse Mode the bike crawls backward at the speed of 5 Km per hour. It helps you in parking the bike without physically pushing it.
- In Practice Mode the top speed of Prana Grand electric scooter is restricted to 45 Km per hour. You achieve maximum mileage in this mode. In this mode the acceleration is gradual. Throttle’s response is not so sharp.
- In Drive Mode gives access to a top speed of 123 Km per hour. In this mode also the throttle response is a bit slow. But the maximum range will reduce as more battery power will be consumed in this mode.
- Sports Mode is the most exciting driving mode of Prana Grand electric scooter. In this mode, the top speed is 123 Km per hour. You also get aggressive acceleration and a sharp throttle response. The acceleration in this mode is 0 to 60 km in just 4 seconds.
- Battery Charging – 0 to 70% charge in just 40 minutes, using a fast charger
- Charging time through regular charger is 4 hours 15 minutes, through regular 15-ampere household socket
- Battery – Two types of batteries are provided. One is of 4.32 KW lithium-ion batteries and the other is a 7.2 kW lithium-ion battery. . Battery is placed where the engine of a conventional motorcycle is fitted.
- Battery life – 2000 rechargeable cycles
- The instrument cluster is an all-digital unit. It shows Battery Charge Level, Odometer, Speed Indicator, and a Trip Meter. There is a LED strip above the instrument cluster. It starts to light up progressively as the speed of the bike increases.
- The Brake system is unique. SVM Prana Grand electric bike has 3 channel hydraulic brake system with the provision of motor cut off.
- Regenerative Braking – There is the provision of electronic regenerative braking at the rear. The brake system gives the fastest and shortest braking distance.
- Geo-Fencing and Mobile App – Not provided. With such high cost of the Prana Grand, these features should have been provided.
