Tata Tigor EV Renamed as Tata X Pres T EV
Tata Tigor EV is a popular Tata electric car. Tata Motors has renamed Tata Tigor EV after giving some facelift. It will now be called Tata X Pres T EV. It will be launched soon. This new updated model of Tata electric car has been spotted being tested multiple times on the Indian roads.
Tata X Pres T EV will be sold in two variants. These variants of this Tata electric car are named Standard and Extended Range. The design changes in Tata X Pres T EV will be in line with the facelift given to the petrol engine variant of Tigor launched in 2020. These facelifts had strengthened the brand value of Tata Tigor.
Tata Motors has a philosophy named “Impact Design 2.0” philosophy. The Tata X Pres -T EV is part of the company’s efforts to widen its zero-emission range of electric cars. Tata Motors has used its tried and tested design changes the company has made to the Tigor petrol vehicles.
The top speed of Tata X Pres T EV is limited to 80 Kms per hour.
Tata Electric Car Price – Tata X Pres T EV
- The XM+ trim of Tata X Pres T EV will have the ex-showroom price of Rs 12.90 Lakh.
- The XT+ trim of Tata X Pres T EV will have the ex-showroom price of Rs 13.05 Lakh.
Remember that Tata Tigor EV has three variants namely XE+, XM+, and XT+. The new version named Tata X Pres T EV does not have the XE+ trim variant. The XE trim will be discontinued.
Tata X Pres T EV – XM+ – New Features
Some of the features of Tata X Pres T EV XM+ are given below:-
- 14 inches steel wheels
- Powder-coated and body-colored door handles and ORVMs (Outside rearview mirror) etc

- Automatic climate control system (Heating, ventilation, and cooling)
- Blue accented AC vents in the cabin
- Instrument cluster for information regarding battery charging
- Dual front airbags
- Antilock braking system (ABS)
- Reverse parking sensors
- LED tail lamps.
- Harman Audio with Bluetooth
- Tri arrow patterned shut off the front grille
- EV badge on the front grille
- Blue ascent around the grille
- Redesigned front bumper with wide central air intake. It is similar to the existing Tigor petrol car
- X Pres – T badge and blue colored EV badge at the back (on the boot lid)
Some of the above-mentioned features are not available in the Tata Tigor EV XT+ variant.
Tata X Pres T EV Range
This Tata electric car has a 16.2 kWh Lithium-Ion battery pack. This electric car has two different battery configurations. The XM+ variant has a range of 165 Km on a full charge. It is 22 Km more than the Tata Tigor EV XM+ variant.
The XT+ version is the extended-range variant. It continues to have an ARAI-certified driving range of 213 km.
Battery Charging of Tata X Pres T EV – XM+
The battery pack of this Tata electric car can be charged fully in 11.5 hours from a household 15 Amp power socket, using a standard charger. However please remember that this car has not come in the market yet.
If a DC Fast Charger is used the charging time is reduced to 2 hours. In these 2 hours, the battery pack can be charged from 0% charge to 80% charge state.
